dinner was good. the drive home after that was alright.. the turn into my carpark... fucking annoying.

I understand from time to time we have "heartland upgrading" as they so put it but here's the annoying bit. the dumb fuck construction workers have sealed off ... not one .. not two .. not ten... but TWENTY parking fucking lots!! I mean the space is already limited and the residents who own a car actually pay for parking spaces on a monthly basis (otherwise known as season parking) and these morons cordon off TWENTY LOTS!??!?

even then i kept my calm .. i drove around looking for a lot.. sort of a needle in a hay stack kinda scenario but i went through it anyways. to add to it .. there were no lots... NO LOTS!! so seeing as to the next best option was to go to the multi-level lots we have in the vicinity ... i had to drive up 8 levels to finally find a lot.. so muttering under my breath and dreading the walk down the stairs... I parked anyways.

NOW... seeing as to I pay my monthly parking charges and the lots were cordoned off by contractors hired by the government...It would be safe to assume that I did not have to put a parking coupon since i am a season parking holder of the lots they so kindly segregated for their own personal use.... right ?

well here's the deal .. i just realized about a half hour ago that I had forgotten some documents in the car. Sooooooooooo......... I walked down to the multi-level lots ... up the staircase and to my car to see a $50 fucking dollar fine!!??

WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THAT?!

Over the past years or so...Singapore has an interesting (annoying) increase in the number of foreign workers. Personally I have no issues with the Malaysians and Filipinas (& Filipinos - but particularly the Filipinas) that come seek a living into our borders. What I do hate are the Mandarin only speaking PRCs (for those who do not understand what PRC means .. Peoples Republic of China)

Why do I hate em?

WELL .. IF U MUST KNOW.. when there are locals out there who can do the same work and earn some pocket money to at least contribute to their households... the jobs go to the foreigners .. due to it being cheaper labor .. ok the Malaysians and the Filipinas do speak English. so thats ok .. even the Indian/Paki/Bangladeshi bunch speak a certain amount of English.. enough for daily use. BUT for some reasons jobs go to PRC nationals who refuse to speak English .. learn to God damn Language for FUCKS SAKE!!

How can they give out work permits to these fellas coming to this Cosmopoliton country and not be able to speak the basic English? not everyone in the world speaks MANDARIN!!!

but today I was surprised by one PRC... not because she could speak English (cos she couldn't) but she was different from her usual CUNTrymen.

The PRCs in Singapore walk around like they own the place. They spit on the floor. Bad table manners. Speak at the top of their voice no matter what time of the night it is. Sort of a Hillbilly in New York City kinda scenerio.

They feel they should be given more attention coz they come from the Motherland (Singapore being a majority Chinese Country)

So anywho...

I was waiting in the Nasi Lemak line to buy my dinner when two PRC women came after me and joined the Q after me. One of em had a moustache on her face... this amazed me coz Chinese are usually hairless. And she was talking in a thick motherland accent .. speaking Mandarin of coz and LOUDLY.

the "Ah-Pek" probably got excited that he had two women to serve that he totally ignored me who had been there 10mins before them. So he speaks to them in Mandarin and goes in to get their Nasi (rice). When he came out and asked them what were the add-ons they wanted. She told him that I had come before her and he should serve me first. He answered her that its ok I can wait. and when he said that I was about to walk off feeling a bit disgusted.. but then "Ah-Ma" came to the rescue. His wife gave him a tongue lashing about service. and once more the PRC woman said serve me first. I was a bit ashamed coz just 2 mins earlier I was attacking her with tweezers in my mind and this woman was actually well mannered. I told the "Ah-Pek" nevermind serve her first I can wait. and the "Ah-Ma" apologized.

But at least now I know that not all PRC nationals are fucked up ... only a Majority of em.

People disappoint. They turn to you when they need something and ignore you when they don't. That's the norm of the society we live in today. People who judge others and refer to them as losers more often then none are in the same boat. Basically its the whole pot ridiculing the Kettle's blackness.

What gives them the ability to do so?

When they sit back on their thrones and pass judgement on our doings is it alright for us to pull them back to earth and show them the cracks in their own lives ?

There used to be a time where I believed in Karma. But then I looked around and saw that a lot of nice people had shitty stuff happening to them as well. So does Karma really exist or is it just a fable to make one feel better.

Should matters be taken into your own hands or should we just turn our other cheek for another slap ....a slap that will come if nothing is done to stop it.

Over the past few days I have been feeling somewhat dazed and lethargic. I needed an escape from reality. To live in a fantasy of some sort. Thank God Ms Qatar came to the rescue. She was flying down for a flight and since she wasn’t using her Hotel room, she offered it to me for an escape. So naturally I accepted the offer as I needed to sort stuff out. And this could somewhat be taken as a holiday away from home –literally.

So when I got to the room I an Ms Qatar chatted a bit and then she was off to do the stuff she had planned to do. I wasted no time in filling the tub with steamy hot water and jumping in together with a copy of Jackie Collins’s “Married Lovers”. What can I say .. the woman is an excellent author. And about 2 hrs later when the water had gotten all warm and my skin all wrinkly like I was not 28 but 82 instead, I got myself out of the relaxing soak and took Jackie Collins to the bed. And after another hour or so... I had worked up an appetite :P

So this is where the idea of my “Social Experiment” came about. I pulled on my “Hogwarts School of Magic & Wizardry” t-shirt and put on a pair of OP beach shorts. With the Novel in my hand I decided to go down to the coffeeshop near Zouk. Since it was daylight out and I had a novel in my hand I guess the vendors of the various stalls thought me to be a foreigner. There was a girl standing at the Char Kway Teow stall. Chinese – mid 20s – not too bad looking – Singaporean (not one of the PRC asswipes). So I decided to have some fun

“Excuse me... could I have and order of Char Kway Theow” – I said sprouting an Ang Moh accent.

“Sure Sir... you want the $2 one or the $3 one” – She replied with a smile on her face like i was some kind of movie star.

“I’m rather femished so I guess that would be the one that’s $3”

“Sure Sir... Have a seat.”

Then it was time to do the same to the drink vendor. Once more in an Ang Moh accent....

“Excuse me could I have an Iced- Coffee”

“Sure Sir ... Have a seat I will bring your order to you”

I took my seat and opened up the pages into the world of “Married Lovers” and after roughly about 2 mins the drink vendor arrives with my “Kopi-Peng”

“ Hi Sir, here’s your Iced-Coffee”

“Thank you”

And that was followed by the arrival of the “Char Kway Teow” ...

“Sir... Your Char Kway Teow” – another girl had delivered the order .. same race same age group but a tad bit better looking then the last – not to forget she was all smiling and cheery

“Oh Thank You...How much do I owe you for that?” – still sprouting the accent

“That would be $3 Sir”

“Sure” – I handed over 2 $2 notes

“Here’s your change Sir – Enjoy your meal” – still all smiley

Now here’s the thing. This is not my first visit to this same coffeeshop. Why do Singaporeans behave this way when they think the guy they are speaking to is a foreigner? Isn’t being from what is considered to be Asia’s Capital good enough? Do I have to be from some White-raced empowered country to get someone to be polite to me in this nation?

This is how the same order would have taken place if I had come in without a slang....

“Char Kway Teow - $3 – Eat here”

“K – Sit where?”

“Smoking area”

“Ok go sit”

And the drink order...

“Uncle Kopi-Peng”

“Go Sit I bring”

“K”

And when the order comes

Drink order

“Hello - $1.50”

“Thanks”

Char Kway Teow order

“Lai $3” – followed by the slight push on the plate when put onto the table

“Thanks” – handing over 2 $2 notes

“Na!” – handing back the change.

Its quite sad if you ask me that the people of this country do not find the need to be polite to their own.

Singaporeans should learn to drop the whole “angkat bola” attitude and learn how to be nice to their own people as well – despite colour, race or religion. The white men have come and gone. They ruled and they left. Yet the mentalities of the Singaporean average Man is still conqured.

After this phase comes what I believe people commonly refer to as "Soul-searching".

Though I may have pushed someone away in the process of reaching the "Soul-searching" phase, I guess if they got pushed away so easily then they never really wanted to stay in the first place.

The think that has been missing in my life is the Adrenaline rushes! The playing with fire. The breaking the rules of morality. The pushing life to the the brink of death acts. This is what I need. This is what I will achieve.

Dear Ms Kim,

I have only recently heard bout your video with Ray J through my friend. Yes this is old news for some but it was new for me.

Being a watcher of "Keeping up with the Kardashians" you sort of starred in many of my boyish fantasies.

Due to this you must understand that I was like a 5 yr old on Xmas morning when I got home. I started surfing the web for this video that you "starred" in.

Found a site that does online streaming of such videos and had to wait a whole half hour for it to load. I was prancing up and down all excited like a soon to be father of a newborn prancing up and down outside a delivery room.

I finally got it all done and sat down to watch the show that i was so anticipating for. I must say that I am utterly disappointed.

You lay there like a a cold piece of salmon on a grill. when u were done on one side u simply flipped over. You have crushed my fantasies.

You were to me the Goddess of Asses but you didn't live up to expectations. well there is a twist in my version.
the idea came about when Nemo and I walked into Botak Jones at Woodlands and saw my ex with her new bf.
initially it put me off.
when I saw her I was like WtF!!!
I was so irritated i couldn't think and forgot to try and recognize who the new bf was.

anywho...

the bf walks over to the drink shop to buy a drink.
this made for a better look at him and from what i saw he was trying to see who I was as well.
now I don't know if this was coincidence or the fact that his nut sack probably slammed on to the floor once he recognized me....but he dropped whatever he was holding in his hands when trying to walk back to his gf.

well back in the day I was the reason he had to get a nose job done.
it was so awesome knowing that she was dating a loser.

remember the days when the white skinned ppl use to frequent the beaches of Sentosa ?
I think those days are coming to an end.
what was seen yesterday was a culture shock.
Indian Nationals / China - men / Filipinos / Indonesians / Punjab men with boom boxes playing dhol beats - were the main occupants of the once beautiful island resort.
and the handful of white women that we did manage to see were chased off with the cat calling of these ppl.

Sentosa should learn how to Quality Control....seriously.
Impose some sort of fine for these ppl who misuse the island and torment the proper crowd.
Don't make the Resort Island of Singapore look like as if it is in competition with Batam.

I know some people are going to say that what I am saying is not fair.
tell that to the women that were harassed with the so called "paparazzi" following their every move with camera phones.
Using the sinks in toilets to take baths ? what the fuck is that about. The showers are fucking vacant.

This global downturn is getting to me. It is so hard to get a temp job while waiting for the Oil Rigs of the world to start hiring again.

Its so annoying … I just want to scream!

But No! I shall not allow this pandemic to get me down. I will stay positive. I am an ROV Pilot and that is what I will do.

Foolish some people might say. But I have never been a settler. I don’t settle for things.

The plan was to get a job in the Oil Industry and say goodbye to my once referred to homeland. And that’s how the plan is going to stay.

My future is not here. Society as a whole here in this forward moving backward thinking country will suffocate me if I decide to stay.

Remember the days of the Malaysia cup?

Not to forget to 2 hired hands Abbas and Allistar.

The Kallang stadium, full of passionate Singapore supporters.

Back then there was a certain love for the nation.

Singapore (although a nation on its own) played as if it was a state / club.

Although there were foreign players, the team was at least 85% Singaporean unlike the mockery the Singapore team is now.

The Roar of the fans together with the Kallang wave was magnificent.

The thumping of feet causing a tremor-like effect.

The wave swept through the stands.

And the spirit of this football loving nation in my view has been broken with the Nations view on improving the football squad so as to qualify for the Fifa World Cup sometime soon.

I would say yesterday was a slap on the face of Singapore football (or what Singapore football has become).

Thailand managed a 1 all draw with the Liverpool. The same Thailand team that Singapore has apparently managed to level. Yet, Singapore gets trashed 5-0 by this same Liverpool team. Yes the ball is round. but such a drastic difference in results? Embarrassing if u ask me.

Liverpool were taking a walk in the park. They had above 80% of the possession. I mean seriously!! 80 fucking percent?!?!?!

The old team managed to at least slip 1 goal past Manchester United’s defence. And this so called “improved” version can’t even do that?

True they would say they conceded less… but honestly ..do u actually believe that Liverpool couldn’t have scored another goal if they had not chosen to do so?

If this wasn’t proof enough that the love for the National team has died, then here’s another thing. The fan’s (Singaporeans) were cheering Liverpool each time a goal passed our goalie and hit the back of the net.

I am not a Liverpool fan but I don’t deny they are a good team. But still as a nation aren’t you supposed to do better? The problem here I would say is too many foreign guns in the National team = no sense of pride.

Liverpool wasn’t walking alone but Singapore clearly was… even though it was their own backyard.

Woke up all grumpy and shit.

I guess its just one of those days you will never go right.

Loneliness and feeling neglected does escape the guard we put up at times.

The vibes I get from an old friend’s actions show that I am no longer wanted.

So I have decided to let go.

If I am ever needed and it is in my power of course I will be there.

But till that day comes in the shadows I shall be.

Don’t get me wrong.

I wish this old friend doesn’t have to come back and is happy always.

I am taking this day to introduce a new character in my life.

Miss Leo.

A cute little thing she is.

Always screaming at me for being negative.

Made a bet with her.

So rest assure I will be a millionaire at least in 3 yrs.

She claims that if I tell myself every morning that I am a billionaire..I will be in 3 yrs.

I bet her a million dollars J

Miss Leo is in love with Sweden for some reason.

She also hates Sweden for the same reason.

I wonder what is with this love/hate relationship with Sweden.

Ended up meeting Nemo for dinner.

Stupid rear tyre gave way on the way down.

Who puts a nail on the middle of the road?

Since it was on Tampines Expressway I would say probably one of our neighbors from the other side of the border.

Stubborn me still drove on though.

Coincidence ain't it that I woke up like something was gonna go wrong.

And it ends with the tyre issue.

Dinner was good.

Botak Jones was closed and somehow Nemo blamed it on me.

I was only 15 mins late.

hotel room parties.
attention of a Swedish beauty.

realization of feelings.
discovery of relaxing areas.
adrenaline rush of the possibility of human warfare.
being a helping hand for a friend in need.
drunk ramblings and judgements of character.
happy drinking and enjoyment at least of all expected places.
hangoverz.

goodbye to an age old friendship. Now if that doesn't say a week of ups and downs .... I have no idea what does.

Plans are never followed when out when out with the Dark Lord. Don't get me wrong ... didn't say i didn't have fun ... it was an experience of all sorts.

Old faces - good and bad

We started off at Cineleisure and of cause attacked the King of Burgers. Sinfully wrong but oh so good...

Original plan was to Howl at the Moon but we decided to go to a place called Swing (dont let the name mislead you...it is not a swingers bar) Its a nice Pub by Arab St. Swing Jazz Bar .. but once again i heard no Jazz.. there was a DJ and a live band. The DJ spun house and the liveband (lead singer was a member of Cherry Chocolate Candy) was pretty good.

So anyways, before I could even sit down... I heard "TAS!!!" looked up and I saw a fellow fish who hasn't swum my way in years and the tampines minah. It was good to see them after so long. We decided to sit together to catch up. Spoke bout this and that and then the Dark Lord gets a call. And all of a sudden the plan for a drink and not staying out too late ends us up at Arena in Clark Quay for MJ's tribute. Before entering saw an unwanted face... initial reaction fucked up .. add a lil vodka to calm the nerves and I'm good as new ..lol. the wonder potion of the Russians.

Met some old faces and some new ones. 3 new ones from Belgium (cousin's of a friend who shall hence forth be known as KJS in this post). 2 gorgeous girls and their overly excited over asian girls brother. Why overly excited you might ask.... he took random snap shots of random girls he found hot. He had the picture in his mind that the Asian culture is very conservative ... damn that made me burst out laughing. Came across an irritating Fi nnish guy .. basically most Europeans think Asian women are easy for them cause they are European...

I don't deny there are a vast number of Sarong Party Girls (SPGs). but those women approach the men themselves.... if a woman isn't making a pass at you .. she clearly ain't interested. In the end he got fed up and left. So that was good. Didn't have to get my hands dirty.

By this time .. KJS was gone. I mean he was pretty plastered and in his own world. I told him to watch his drinks cause he has to "babysit" his cousins so to speak. I mean they are his guest in this country afterall.

So anyways he says to me " I'm not drunk.. if I am drunk I will be slurring " . I just smiled coz he was slurring. Then he goes and buys another bottle of Vodka. Brings it back to the table and starts pouring vodka for everyone cept me coz I was driving. I kept looking at him pouring for himself. He had 4 packs from the new bottle and then he comes to me and says.. FUCK!! half bottle left.. and I nvr even touched it yet. yes yes i was puzzled to but it was funny .... coz i told him he had four and he starts to bargain with me and say he had 2 ...and after a while we agreed at 3 .. and he asks me, not being able to stand straight. "Pai... telll mwe thhheee troooofff... am i zlurrringggg?" - for those who didn't understand that bit in proper sober talk it meant "Pai, tell me the truth...am i slurring ?" again i laughed and nodded.

So yeah finally we went off from there and I went to get my car to pick KJS and his cousin's up since they are all in the east. Never.. I repeat never ask a drunk man for directions. I was at Aljunied MRT asking him how to go to Geylang East and he was asking me to go straight towards Katong.. and I was like why would I wanna go there.. he looks at me and says trust me. That led me to wind down the window and ask the mat motor waiting at the traffic light beside my car. He told me to make a U-turn. I followed and got the Belgian trio home.

KJS now tries to talk me into heading back out to club.. at 0530hrs... seriously!! I dropped him on the main road by his block and went back myself. When i reached home the Dark Lord calls me.

Dark Lord: "Bro did you drop KJS's cousins back?"
Me: Yeah
Dark Lord: "KJS is at Swing and he is sad saying he lost his cousins" (yes he had taken a cab to head back out to club)
Me: I texted the cousin they are home and going to sleep
Dark Lord: "K I call u back"

Moral of the story - don't drive when going out clubbing so u can be plastered too

Fark!! I hate that feeling -grumbles- Now I have to make that 10 minute walk to the shop which is next to the coffee shop and I got to fight all temptations of having supper... so much work in the middle of the night... -grumbles-

So anyhoo... off I go to meet my Irish mate... Nic O'tine.

well.... the weakened main character .. me (lack of nicotine) with a goal in hand (getting my cigs)

the obstacles at hand... booby traps (cat and dog poo strategically placed)

so now u see it from where i'm standing ..

so yeah .. finally made it to the shop .. and the shop lady is grinning at me .. seriously what the fuck she grinning at ? so i start to order my smokes in my top notch ah-beng singlish accent "Auntie ah ...Next Red one " Stupid woman still grinning while eating kuaci (sun flower seeds)

then she asks me .. "where your gf?" - tell me seriously wouldn't anyone react the same way if some person asks u that and ... u don't have a gf ? reaction is as follows

Me: what gf?
Shop lady: that one ah u come with last time
Me: who i come with?
Shop lady: that one ah the pretty girl
Me: I come with pretty girl means she my gf? I single lah..no time for gf
Shop lady: You don't bluff me lah
Me: (Curious) I bluff you for what? I really no gf
Shop lady: that time you come with her then you go behind the shop she tell me she your gf
Me: What the fuck?!
Shop lady: you very naughty boy ah
Me: (walk away puzzled)

Now who the fuck is this woman going around telling shopkeepers in my estate that she is my gf?!?! How come she my gf and I don't know?!?! And why the hell would she want to be known as my gf?!?!

the journey of the dreamer from the deep slumber to reality was met by the sound of heavy rain outside the spy hole to the world. Horrific dream following the events of yesterday. Getting drunk after just one mug of beer and getting caught for Horrific because (a) Driving under the Influence.I love my license (b) I couldn't hold a mug of beer ? I'm bhai!! (c) I love my license.

So i woke with mixed emotions.

Happy - it was just a dream.
Sad - Heavy rain + Bed = the want for more sleep

China phones rock my socks. It sprung into action at five in the morning while i was in a deep coma like sleep. The call for assistance was given and being the person I am .. i responded. Sort of like Batman I am.
